About Woodland Bee Company

Woodland Bee Company is owned and operated by Jason Kardong. After buying several components from mentor Corky Luster of Ballard Bee Company, Jason started Bee Plus Honey, which then became Woodland Bee Company.  

Woodland Bee Company now has bees on the Columbia Center, Google, Pacific Science Center and various backyards throughout Seattle. 

The name comes from the neighborhood in which Woodland Bee Company resides, the West Woodland neighborhood of Seattle Washington, in the heart of Ballard.

About Jason Kardong

I am a 17 year resident of Ballard and has been involved with bees here for many years. After spending time under the mentorship of Corky Luster with the Ballard Bee Company, I decided to take over his hosting program, and here we are!

I am a certified beekeeper in Washington State and Montana through the state sponsored degrees. 

When I’m not running the bee business, I work on the website at KEXP FM 90.3 and am an active member of the Seattle music community where I play in several local and national acts.
